TeacherJay is very aware of the confusion caused by the alphabet soup of acronyms used in the field of education. This list of acronyms was designed to assist educators with making sense of the industry jargon.

The blog is a forum for TeacherJay to discuss current events affecting education with a particular emphasis on the education of immigrant and bilingual students, as well as overall access to education. Please feel free to comment and contribute to the discussion.

TeacherJay is an avid reader of books concerning the field of education. Reviews of several books are available on this site. Links to the items on Amazon.com are also provided.
EduWiki
Along the same lines of the Acronyms List, TeacherJay saw the need for professional educators to create their own database of educational articles in a glossary or encyclopedia format. Along with background information about common topics from an education perspective, this resource can contain bibliographic listings of refereed journal articles. It has been created as a wiki and all users of the site are welcome to edit articls and add to and edit articles as they deem neccesary.
